Chenrezig embodies the compassion of all enlightened beings. Meditating on the form and reciting the mantra of Chenrezig refines away selfishness, confusion and negativity, connecting the practitioner to the nature of their own unbiased compassion.
This five-day retreat focuses on the mandala of Chenrezig according to the sacred revelations of Tromge Khachod Wangpo, the great Terton in the family lineage of Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche.
You may apply to attend this retreat in-person at Rigdzin Ling. It will also be livestreamed. Partial attendance permitted.
There will be two formal sessions (9am-12:30pm / 2pm-7pm) and a tsok feast each day. The Chenrezig empowerment of this particular lineage is a prerequisite to participate. Lama Padma will bestow the empowerment in-person on Thursday morning, May 26.
Covid protocols – full vaccination (including booster if eligible) required for all in-person attendees. Masking indoors is required.
Note: Due to the ever-changing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is possible that our occupancy limits for lodging and shrine room attendees may need to be adjusted. We recommend that all sangha members purchase refundable transportation, if applicable.
In the case of decreased capacity, Rigdzin Ling will refund the base ticket cost. However, the Eventbrite fees charged for each ticket are non-refundable. We are looking forward to reconnecting with sangha members, so please contact events@chagdudgonpa.org with any questions about event finances.

If you’re unable to afford an event, volunteering is a great way to attend. Volunteers help support retreats and events by cleaning, helping in the kitchen and fulfilling various tasks when necessary. Their contributions are invaluble to the Dharma activities of Rigdzin Ling.

Making an offering to the event scholarship creates the conditions for those with limited financial resources to be able to attend retreats and teachings.
Just as light dispels darkness, the lamp represents the removal of ignorance so that you and all beings can attain the wisdom of enlightened mind.
Tsogs are hosted on relevant lunar days at several centers. Sangha members may make offerings to tsog as a way of dedicating merit and participating from afar.
