The publication of these books significantly extends the scope of Padma Publishing's work which until now has primarily produced sadhana texts in Tibetan loose-leaf pecha form.
Rinpoche, in response to repeated requests from many students and with the assistance of several translators, writers and editors, has been working on his autobiography since the summer of 1988.
A series of edited transcripts of Rinpoche's teachings,entitled Living Dharma: The OralTeachings of Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche will be produced by Padma Publishing, beginning with the publication this fall of Gates to Buddhist Practice.
Dudjom Lingpa's Nangjangis one of the most profound and precious texts in the Vajrayana tradition. Recounting a series of visions of many of the realization holders, deities and guardians of the Great Perfection lineage, Dudjom Lingpa elucidates the teachings and subtle points of Dzogchen. Dudjom Lingpa compiled these explanations, and the compilation was carefully corrected and reprinted by his incarnation, the late Jigdral Yeshe Dorje (His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche).
The translation of the Nangjang has been in process for some years, with Chagdud Tulku working closely with translator Richard Barron (Chokyi Nyima). Rinpoche feels that Chokyi's brilliance as a translator and the realization of Dudjom Lingpa have truly coincided to bring authentic meaning to the English text.
