UPDATE: Whether or not you have received the empowerment for Takhyung Barwa, Tromge Jigme Rinpoche will bestow the authorizing scriptural transmission of this practice at the start of the first session on Friday, Oct. 14th. This reading transmission will be given instead of the empowerment and will allow you to attend the retreat in-person or via livestream.

This three-day retreat will focus on Hayagriva, a red wrathful form of Amitabha, Chenrezig and Guru Rinpoche. This meditation practice is part of the Longchen Nyingtik (Heart Essence of the Vast Expanse), a profound Dharma treasure revealed by the great master, Jigmed Lingpa. This particular aspect of Hayagriva, as an expression of wisdom and compassion, is known as Takhyung Barwa, the Horse-headed One with a Garuda.

The benefits of this practice are especially powerful during turbulent times in uprooting the causes of imbalance and conflict in the outer world, in physical health and inner emotions.

We are extremely delighted that Tromge Jigme Rinpoche, who has a profound connection with the Longchen Nyingtik lineage through the blessings of Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, Khenpo Ngagchung Rinpoche and his own deep realization, will be leading and guiding us.

We will be using the practice text, The Blazing Radiance of Blessings, which will be available for purchase. It also includes a concise daily practice that will enable us to continue this practice on a regular basis.

This event will take place both in-person and livestreamed over Zoom. Livestream tickets are free, but donations are accepted. Partial attendance permitted.

Covid protocols – full vaccination required for all in-person attendees. Masking indoors is required.

Note: In-person registration is closed. Please feel free to register for virtual attendance.
