Finding Joy and Stability in Challenging Times

with Lama Sherab Drolma

Thursday July 27th, 7pm, Rigdzin Ling

When encountering personal difficulties or feeling overwhelmed by events in the wider world, what approaches can we take to help us maintain equanimity? Is it really possible for us to find more lasting happiness, establish more harmonious relationships, and to stay strong when facing crises around us?

Chagdud Gonpa Rigdzin Ling is honored to host Lama Sherab Drolma, a respected Buddhist leader who teaches extensively throughout Brazil and Europe. In this introductory talk she will explore these issues by drawing on her extensive training in Tibetan Buddhism. From the mid-1990s, after a career in dentistry, Lama Sherab served the Tibetan Buddhist master and founder of Rigdzin Ling here in Junction City`, Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, as his translator, personal attendant, and administrator of his spiritual activities in South America. Ordained as a lama by Chagdud Rinpoche in 2002, she is presently a resident teacher at Chagdud Rinpoche’s main center in Brazil, Chagdud Gonpa Khadro Ling. She travels widely, supporting practitioners through teaching, spiritual counseling and leading retreats. Lama Sherab is known for her dedication, warmth and insight, and is also a master of the Tibetan Buddhist sacred dance tradition, which expresses the meaning of meditation through movement. Please join us in welcoming her to Rigdzin Ling.

All are welcome, and no previous knowledge of Buddhism is required.
Entrance is free of charge. You are welcome to make an offering to the teacher at the end of the event.
